Yesterday was Jazzos and the school's (sort of) birthday!
Let's talk about how the school celebrated it's birthday in Jazzo's perspective first:
It was sort of the school's birthday because it celebrated it's Founders' Day on that day. It sounds like a birthday, more or less, to Jaz.
They had to put their bags down in the classrooms first which was rather sad for Jazzo because she had a couple of brown giant leaves she wanted to use to decorated the class. But due to it's largeness she could not bring it in the school bus and thus could only bring it when taking a ride in her father's car. Saturdays were the only day she would be taking her father's car to school but she did not bring it as she thought she would spend the whole celebration at the amphitheatre and would not be going back to class at all. Also, after the concert she had to go to the Girls' Brigade room to meet and go to the Army Market in Lavender to buy boots. Walking all the way to class would take time.
It started with a couple of speeches made by the principal , and then by the VIP. Jazzo did not really pay attention due to her really short attention span and took to bending the fingers of her pink paper hand inwards and drawing an evil face on the palm so it looked as if it was the evil hand of d00m and is gonna get you~
she hovered it above the head of the girl sitting in front of her.
The concert finally came, what Jazzo had been waiting for. After seeing her 2 classmates go for Founder's day rehersals all the time she was anxious to see what it was like. The show was wonderful! The costume of Athena-the-statue-but-is-now-alive was so pretty! Jazzo also got to see her classmates Liyana and Miin. Miin sung on stage and she sounded really angelic. Liyana got a talking part and did not need to sing. there were performances by Chinese Orchestra, the gymnasts, Anklung, Dance and choir.
the dancers had pretty costumes too. Their costume had flowing skirts and Jazzo noticed that the performer at her extreme right had her legs entangled in her flowy skirt but she still managed to dance nicely.
As for the gymnasts..GOSh. Jazzo wanted to faint. they were so good! They did flips as if they were walking! Jazzo noticed that they were pretty short and their arms were really muscular, too.
That was about all. There was a cake, also, for the school. how Jazzo wished they would offer a slice who had their birthdays on the fourth of March too. Jazzo knows two other people in this school whose birthdays fall on the same day.

Now let's talk about Jazzo's celebration.
After the concert, Jazzo went back to class to claim her bag, feeling pretty good. She had received a sketchbook from Sze Min early in the morning and had too received a package from Karen. She was told to go to the gym and when she went, Liyana passed her a present too! It was four metal bangles (What Jazzo had so coveted in Little India last year), a really long friendship band and a teddy bear dressed in overalls handphone accessory. The friendship band and teddy currently resides at her pencil box.
She then went to buy boots. Took 105 and stopped outside Tangs, went to CityHall MRT station and took to Lavender and from there walked to Army Market which Jazzo heard was near Golden Mile Complex. Jazzo knows where the Golden Mile Complex is or rather, she recognizes that place. It is there that she usually takes coaches to Malaysia and the like for holidays.
Jazzo bought her boots (Size 7, what lage feet she has~) and a uniform holder and took MRT to CityHall again, crossed to go to Ang Mo Kio, Stopped at Cheers to buy a Mocha chocolate Freezy which she could not finish because too much chocolate makes you sick, and took bus 73 home.
The afternoon is not worth mentioning.
She went to her Grandma's house for dinner and accidentally ate ESCARGO. Her uncle had bought them canned and her grandma cooked them. Jazzo's little brother told her it smelt horrible at the start already. She did take a sniff and it did smell horrible.
When Jazzo asked her mum what it was however, her mother said it was probably some kind of cockles in tomato sauce. Jazzo cannot resist cockles and took one and bit it. (because not all food that smell bad taste bad) but it tasted horrid anyway so she gave the rest to her father who ate it and took alot more.
Apparently he knew it was escargo but he thought she knew and thus did not tell her
. It was after dinner when she asked him why he ate so many bad-tasting cockles when he said
"What cockles? It's escargo!"
Jazzo almost fainted. She had long ago made up her mind never to try escargo and she just did...on her birthday. Her father asked her why she looked so upset; he tried escargo with its shell on before...
Jazzo has been tainted.

Why not listen to one of Jazzo's favourite songs while studying her life? It's 'Sand in my Shoes' by Dido.
